Is Take Stock Broth organic?

Organic certification is not common in Norway (where we produce Take Stock) because they expect all produce to be of the highest quality with minimal intervention.  In Norway, the smaller scale co-operative farms, expansive pastures and colder climate make prime conditions for healthy, well cared for animals. Norway has the lowest use of antibiotics in farm animals in Europe – 10 x lower than the UK average and 2.5 x lower than the Organic average.

Our beef is grass-fed, our chickens are raised without antibiotics, and no hormones or GMO feeds are used.

How do I use Take Stock Bone Broth?

Drinking bone broth is the most common way to enjoy this nutritious beverage, but there are plenty of other options to help get in your daily dose. We believe it is best enjoyed simply warmed and sipped from a mug, but it can be used as a hero ingredient to enhance any dish.

We source and produce Take Stock in Norway.  Norway is consistently voted one of the world’s happiest countries thanks to their healthy-living outdoor lifestyle. Also, Norway has one of the best standards of animal welfare in the world;  smaller co-operative farms, more space and a colder climate which all come together to create prime conditions for healthy, well cared for animals. How do you make Take Stock Bone Broth?

Our carefully sourced bones are first roasted in a hot oven to enhance the rich flavour of the broth, then mixed with vegetables and herbs and intensely simmered in a slow cooker for up to 24 hours to release all the nutrients. Other brands reduce their broth to a concentrated syrup, transport it to a packaging facility, and then over-dilute it to bulk out the product. This low intervention production method delivers a deep, rich, and authentic broth which tastes just as if we made it in our own kitchen.

How does Take Stock Bone Broth achieve a two year shelf-life?

The subtle heat of the simmering process enhances (not damages) the flavour of our BB, and with no preservatives or additives, we are the most flavourful and nutritionally packed Bone Broth out there.

Take Stock gently pasteurises the Bone Broth to ensure that it remains shelf stable for up to 2 years.

Following the simmering process, our Broth is packaged and sealed in our sustainable IPI packaging (100% recyclable and made 90% from recycled materials) in an airtight aseptic environment and sufficient heat is applied to ensure that it's sterile.
